On Bookcovers and Making the Right Impressions

A friend of mine who runs a publishing company posted a link to the third part of a book cover series, and I was enthralled. Everything I’ve tried to tell other new authors is in the series and even more. Penny C. Sansevieri, CEO and founder of Author Marketing Experts, Inc. (AME) does a fantastic job of explaining how to make your book covers work using her expertise.

Time and time again pros will tell newbies about the basics of having a great book cover, only to be ignored. Crudely done book covers will hurt you. Badly thought out book covers will give away major plot points or tick off readers. A well-done book cover is a partner in your sales. If it’s amateurishly done, only your Aunt Tessie will but it out of pity for you.
